Delia's twists the narrative as much as anyone twists her words

This is a significant departure from her wish to see Alex Neil in post for ten years, now a year later, she is more excited about this than anything else.

Likewise, it wasn't so long ago that the narrative was that we had Keith Harris 'looking for investment' but nobody was interested and neither, so it seems, were they if it meant relinquishing control. The result was Ed Balls and Tom Smith joining the board. Now we are open to offers again, but presumably not those that disturb the status quo, so bang goes the narrative about one person having too much control.

I don't really like the way that she seems happy to have the CEO take the blame. Clearly McNally lost it in the last season but they were quite happy to sit back while it was all going well. McNally didn't act alone and they failed to stop the lunacy of the spending sprees in our last Premiership spell and then again after we came down. That money could have been put into the Academy then.

For what it is worth, I think they are doing the right thing with the Academy and they deserve credit, but it is long overdue as it has been so unfit for purpose for so long.
