That's a great piece of writing

Really engrossing, as you say, but so incredibly sad for all concerned.

There was a similar piece on the BBC a while ago, it was the story of a woman that had knocked down a child through no fault of her own, and her struggle / journey to live with that. Similarly engrossing and sad.

It really could be any of us, I treat driving as a trivial activity, but relatively, it's the most dangerous thing I do I would have thought!
