But I think a lot of that comes down to glaring gaps in the squad. We lack full backs in general, not just good pacey attacking ones. Playing two strikers would help, but if one is injured or suspended then we're down to one with no real cover on the bench. We still lack a natural goalscoring striker and forward, regardless. Unless we buy a few new starting players with pace then the team will continue to be slow in attack. Without two of Tettey/Trybull/Leitner, the midfield looks weak and unsuitable to play higher up the pitch, meaning the defence is even more vulnerable. Two of those three look likely to be playing elsewhere next season, so I'm not optimistic there
Sort out those issues before and during the next transfer window and then I think it's realistic to say Farke should be doing X, y or z tactically. Right now he's working with major limitations. With a fully fit squad the starting xi looks half decent, but really we're only 4 or 5 injuries away from looking like relegation scrapers at any time.
