I can see what you mean but it's seen like this-

The original conviction reflected the severity of the convicted offences- i.e. it's indeterminate. He should only be released when deemed safe. He's not being locked up, he's not being released (yet) which is different. If more dodgy behaviour comes to light to be considered then so be it. IPP sentences were designed to keep dangerous people in prison until deemed safe.
