You sometimes have to sell and buy in the wrong order

My suspicion is that we were in for a striker but didn't land him for whatever reason (hardly an unknown scenario in football transfers).

Yes striker was and remains a critical position for us to improve but I think it's unfair to suggest the Head Coach isn't aware of that.
