Fill the gap?

If the "bond" raises £2m there is no gap, since that is the amount that they have committed to spend on Colney. The "gap" is £2m or zero. And bear in mind that they made that commitment at the same time as they were saying that there was no need to borrow money.
As to whether the club will go bust... Well as recently as late 2009 the club, under the same control as now, was on the brink of administration. So the risk is not negligible.
