Last night Academy and Bond - I was invited and went to last nights event and

was impressed by the club’s openness, admission of their previous mistakes, but more importantly their desire to put us on a strategic path to help future proof the club. The bond idea which will make us the third club (I believe) to do it, is just crowdfunding and speaking as a Chartered Accountant offers decent ROI and risk/reward.
Without doubt it’s sad that we wasted the Premiership money, but credit to them for appointing Webber and allowing him to protect the academy and building for the future.
As he said last night, he doesn’t agree with what Huddersfield and Brentford done, but can understand it because of the competition they face, basically it’s us or Ipswich here and whilst we invest in cat 1 and them continuing with cat 2, it leaves us in pole position.
I also didn’t realise the Murphy twins chose us over Ipswich.
