we've spent €15m on transfer fees this season (or if you don't believe that exact figure, then surely it is at least €10m). How much have Ipswich spent, or Preston, or Millwall, or Brentford, or Sheffield United - some of the teams above us in the table?

Having relatively poor owners is not the only factor - other teams have wealthier owners, but who contribute little. We have had decent spending power this season and have committed it on building a long term plan, rather than on maximising our chances for this season. It's a gamble.
