Averaging 2 points per game over the last 9 games

since Christmas, which coincided with the move to three at the back, with wing backs and a double defensive pivot in front.

That's automatic promotion form.

We also saw the two very promising Chelsea cup performances.

The bad start to the season saw the team drop a lot of points, with an open midfield (which some are calling for the return of) that led to a few hammerings.

Then the absence of Tettey and/or Trybull after the Ipswich away game led to another poor run, where the team started conceding too many goals again.

I absolutely agree that the team needs to score more goals, but I think it's more of a personnel issue than being down to the system.

A natural number 9 and a forward with consistent end product will make a huge difference. Reed is a cdm doing a job at rwb, it's just a short term solution and Webber has already stated he could have brought in another rwb but would rather wait until we can bring in better than is available. Lewis is just a kid who has played about ten or so pro games, given time and experience he will become better going forward (timing runs, seeing potential crosses/passes, etc), as his basic skill level and athleticism is already there.

I wouldn't worry about the current set up too much.
