heading from crosses is only part of it though

not everything has to be floated into the box and not every time, but we need to carry more than one kind of threat. At the moment we are too predictable at home and can only score perfect goals.

If we also had the ability to attack down the wings, then the play wouldn't be so narrow and would actually give us more space to play through the middle when we chose to, because the wing backs would be stretching the play.

And crosses into the box cause confusion and force defenders to take action, where they may make mistakes. You can win second balls, or get a ricochet. How many 'scrappy' goals have we scored this season? I can hardly think of any, because we don't get the ball into the box often enough during a game to get any luck.
