Watch how many times Murphy gets in behind on the left in dangerous positions and smacks the ball against a defender's shins or plays a poor cross. Look how many times Olive comes deep and we lack an outlet behind through the middle. They're major issues.

You can't for a second convince me that the problem is the lack of a quality pass coming from cm when we're playing Leitner and Maddison, that's just silly. The ability to play that pass is there but the correct run doesn't come often enough (not even blaming Olive there, that's his natural style of play to drop back into the hole). In fact, the key pass in build up play gets through to Murphy several times a game (as hinted to before), but his end product is poor, which is a problem as the team is overly reliant on him.

I mean considering how you're positioning yourself as some kind of expert, it's odd how you can't see something that's obvious even to me.

I will accept that the team could do with better deliveries from full back, but Lewis is just an inexperienced kid, while Reed is playing out of position due to the ongoing squad re-building. But even then, these should be addition supplies, not the main source.
