hon. (a lot of my current job is based around that kind of thing).

The data scientists in my team talk about using Jupyter Notebooks (User Posted Link as a work environment for Python, and various Python tools called SciPy, PyCharm, Numpy.

But none of that is Rasp. Pi specific - but a Pi is as good a hardware platform as any. Mine is used solely as a media player, so I've got an OpenElec (Ubuntu-based) distro running Kodi.
