My father-in-law acted as a guarantor in respect of the payment of rent under an AST, and to cut a long story short the rent wasn't paid and he has ended up having a CCJ entered against him. We have identified a couple of 'irregularities' in relation to the claim and which, in our opinion, are grounds for the CCJ to be set aside, and an application for such has duly been made. Since the claim however, the claimant company (the letting agent) has been dissolved and a District Judge has now advised that no application may be made against it because of this; the DJ has advised that my father-in-law should take advice on restoring the claimant company.
I had originally assumed that because the claimant company had been dissolved the application would me much easier to succeed, however this is seemingly not the case? If it is necessary to restore the claimant company, what's the process for this and likely cost / timescales?
Thanks
