Did anyone who read Marvel/DC ever buy Sea Monkeys?

My brother wrote off to one of those Charles Atlas ads, requesting tips on how to obtain "tireless legs" much to the eternal amusement of the rest of the family.

I expect we'll give him grief about that until the day he dies
