Globalisation is a buzzword used by loads a people to apply to loads of things, there is no defnition for globalisation, only economic, environmental, cutlural etc etc. By blaming everything on globalisation, we are simply trying to give a reason for things that we can't explain. Yet the thing we're calling it, can't be explained either.
It's the biggest cliche of the 21st century, and to me means nothing. What we are seeing is increasing disparity between the north and the south, thats not globalisation, thats just northern privatization and failed southern neo-liberal policy.
AS for Europe, well it sucks donkey dick. To think that we can have a peacefull mozaic of nation states, interspersed with natins such as turkey, slovakia, slovenia etc, its a mini version of the world in one superstate, i.e. Europe. Perhaps worth it if that superstate could generally compete with the US and China but it can't and won't, be better keeping British sovreignty, and English language is the most important and most likely thing we have to keep us at the top of the modern world system.
I thank you.
