Good performance, lots to be hopeful about in the future

Thought we made one of the top sides in the division look very ordinary (being generous).

Solid at the back as usual and our build up play continues to be intelligent and technically good, meaning the lads might not create lots of half chances, but they can set themselves up to create space by pulling opposition players around and therefore getting into positions where we can potentially have 3/4 great chances (better to have a high xG that way rather than spam low percentage chances) per game, like today. Continue to do that and this is a recipe for success. We play a bit like Swansea did under Brendan Rodgers and that worked great for them.

The team is a wide forward and a cf short of being a quality team at this level IMO. Murphy is technically decent with his control and has the pace required to stretch defences, but his end product isn't consistent enough just quite yet. Get that up to the required standard and he will be absolutely ideal. He's still young so I have faith he can get there.

Olive is technically good, but his movement and finishing isn't good enough to start regularly as the lone striker in this set up as far as I can see. The team lacks a genuine threat in behind through the middle, in terms of pace over 5/10 yards and timing of runs. I think Olive is a good option to assist in build up play and it's probably in his nature to come short for the ball, but the side doesn't exactly lack that while we need an outlet going the other way. He's still a very good option to have in the squad if we want to play two strikers though. I do rate him, but feel he's a victim of the change of style, which sucks for him, but has benefitted most other players in the squad, so the pros outweigh the cons.

Really pleased with the progress Farke, Webber and the team are making. Keep this up and Norwich will have a bright future. Loving the build up play too, it's the most technically precise and entertaining football we've played in a long time.
