Asking for a friend* cough,I acted as a guarantor for a rental property, the rent has always been paid on time in full for 18 months or so, so I’ve not been stitched up (yet!) however I’m starting to get a bit nervous as certain circumstances have recently changed
My question is, can I write a letter to the tenant and copy in their landlord asking them to appoint a new guarantor and I’m liable until they appoint a new one or am I liable for the full term of the tenancy if they ignore my letter
