Bernard Robinson ? 1938-49 ? one of the club's most loyal servants, he had the club's 11th highest tally of appearances, and it would have been far higher if he hadn't missed six seasons because of the war.

Johnny Gavin ? 1948-54 and 1955-58 ? Norwich's leading goalscorer of all time with 132 goals, which was especially impressive given he played most of his games on the wing.

Terry Allcock ? 1958-73 ? the club's second highest scorer, and he has the highest number for a single season ? 37 goals.

Dave Stringer ? 1962-76 and 1980-2001 ? he saw success both on the pitch and as manager, scooping Player of the Season for 1971-72 and later guiding the team to fourth in the top flight.

David Cross ? 1971-73 ? helped City get promoted from the old Division Two in 1972 and played in the club's first ever Wembley appearance in the League Cup final the next year.

Martin Peters ? 1975-80 ? the World Cup winner helped establish John Bond's side in the top flight in the late Seventies.

Kevin Reeves ? 1977-80 ? he became the club's first ?1m sale when he moved on to Manchester City, but before that his 42 goals had helped him become only the second Canary to play for England.

Dave Watson ? 1980-86 ? captained the Milk Cup-winning team of 1985 and won the Division Two championship the next season, he was another to play for England while still at Norwich.

Jerry Goss ? 1983-96 ? scorer of probably the most famous goal in Canary history ? a stunning volley to beat Bayern Munich away in the Uefa Cup.

Bryan Gunn ? 1986-98 ? twice winner of Player of the Season, his goalkeeping heroics were as vital to the 1993 Uefa Cup side as any of the goals scored.

Iwan Roberts ? 1997-2004 ? the all-time third highest goalscorer, the gap-toothed striker became a Carrow Road hero for his workrate, ability to hold up the ball and pop up with vital goals.

Nigel Worthington ? 2000-today ? the man who turned things around and steered Norwich City back to the promised land of the Premiership. Now can he keep them there?
