try finding a local carpenter who does kitchens

probably comes out at the same price point as a good 'chain' kitchen and of course it's handmade, properly fitted and bespoke. Avoids the 'looking s**t a year later' issue.

Lots depends on how soon you will be moving house - no point buying a 'spenny kitchen if you're moving in the short to medium term. Just buy an Ikea one that'll last a few years and replace the doors when you come to sell.
