No it isn't.

Thinking about what we say and how we behave in an ongoing attempt to address the imbalance of gender inequality does not reflect the 'sorry state of the world'.

Imagine thinking, right now, that this is one of the world's problems and not actually part of a broad shift which is to everyone's benefit.
