Interesting stuff....lots of hospitals built along similar lines

Most of the great Victorian hospitals (and pre then) were charitable in one way or another.

Often religious and run by nuns or monks etc

Particular interest to me is history of medicine. Did a BSc at WELLCOME trust during Med school and delved into archives a lot. Fascinating area of social history from ancient Greeks to Victorian times

My old med school Barts in the city of London is the oldest med school still going in the world.

Could stare at original Hogarth paintings on way to lectures!

Oh well.....not a footy chat....reminiscing!
