I spent an unfortunate year working for Capita or

as they're affectionately known by their staff as 'Crapita'. They 'take over' local authority business. Tell everyone there will be no redundancies etc. wait for people to leave and then don't replace them and try to do the same work on a gradually decreasing workforce. Authorities accept them because they appear to be saving money but of course to the high-ranking authority worker they've successfully shifted responsibility. It's all about reducing costs (at the expense of workforce benefits) but didn't ever improve the service, quite the opposite.
