Did this and it was amazing: They collect from hotel, private gate at airport, onto helicopter, Hoover Dam, etc. land in Grand Canyon, and back again. Well worth it:

As for a hotel stay in the middle of the strip around the Flamingo and Bellagio area rather than at one end.
