Yeah that’s exactly what I do with the fasting.

It was just a small tweak but made a big difference.

I don’t really do any ‘serious’ training now. Just a more rounded fitness program and found that to be ok. I can imagine if you were into some heavily training work that you might want to push some extra supplements or boost carbs as Trent Canary suggested.
