Definitely a useful squad player at worst if the price is right.

Not worth extortionate Prem transfer fee or wages, but he's useful, can apparently do a decent job at wing back which means potentially saving a squad place, has an engine, has some bite in him, gives 100% every game regardless of the fact that he is on loan in a division lower than his contracted club.

The criticism I read is that he is sometimes out of position, misplaces the odd pass and can be guilty of not passing forward very often (which, incidentally, seems to be a criticism of every single defensive midfielder ever - it is their role.). Basically, the criticism of him is based on areas of Tettey's game that we seem to accept.

Tettey isn't going to last forever, and he's coming to that stage where he might want to move on for one last hurrah somewhere.

The one concern about Reed of course is that he is a ginge. However, defensive midfielders have no need for a soul so that shouldn't be an issue.
