Well we were semi pro but part of our job was to go up to the fan after party and

Mingle with the fans (although about 90% of them would just stand and stare without daring to speak to us which is very unsettling).

Head coach, team captain and the fan chosen most valuable player for that game would give a short speech. All in all took about an hour after final whistle.

Away games were more intimidate though and then we would chat with fans more one on one. The away fans are the ones more likely to be ready for a chat too.

At least that was my limited experience of Germans sports culture.
