He has a strong record of bringing through young players.

He is well thought of in Germany, where their coaching standards are very high (and they have many more coaches as well, so competition is likewise strong) and as far as I can see, the team looks stronger and fitter than last season. Only Watkins and Oliveira have been negative as far as I can see (not counting Jerome, departing players who haven’t been in the team are never happy) and they weren’t really in a position of strength. I can’t see that his man-management isn’t either weak or strong from that.
