It's not so much about that. There are male players whose stature could easily

be improved upon by a female. Well, easily is the wrong word - very possibly. Would require a lot of work of course.

OK, probably never going to see female central defenders, but there's nothing to suggest it is not possible for some women to develop their bodies into something a little bit more robust than David Silva, Coutinho or Cazorla for example.

There is no doubting that it would be more difficult for women and they would, like those three players, have to have excellent technique in order to be given the chance. To get that they'd have to have at least the same opportunities. While there's no million pound pro contracts for women, the inflow into the game from a young age won't be sufficient to have a large enough pool from which to expect a decent chance of developing the right players. As we've pointed out here, their coaching is also not at the same level. Those things would have to be addressed first. Not only the physical side.
