Schteve McLaren made a good point last night

Playing a possession style requires a team to play really well to win. Having a bad day and grinding it out isn’t an option.

He was talking about Bristol city but it’s a good point I think. In particular, he made the point that in this style, one mistake can cost you very dearly (and the chances of a mistake are far higher).

I think we’ve definitely seen evidence of his point that playing very well is a necessity, I’m hoping later this season we can start to hit those heights more consistently.
