he has always shown glimpses of quality and that he has good technique but where he has been frustrating is his lack of physicality and tendancy to just let players drift past him. he started like that last night and I thought for the first 20 minutes he was hopeless and didn;t really seem to know where he should be positioning himself.

Then after about 25 minutes he and Reed started to get a grip and from that point onards i thought Vrancic was very good. His pass to Murphy down the left in partcular was extremely good. In truth he's generally played 2 or 3 great killer balls in most games he's played for us but our strikers have often missed the chances so they have been overshadowed by the defensive/physical weaknesses in his game.
