I suppose most of us are resigned to losing Maddison at some point

but I was hoping that we would be able to keep him at least until the summer. There may well be mileage in the rumour that Spurs have offered £20m, particularly as the Edwards loan was probably the sweetener, but what we need now is additional serious interest from other Premier League Clubs. In the current climate of high football prices and wages £20m would simply not be enough for a youngster of Maddison's class and outstanding potential and I honestly think we need the price to be rightly pushed up to nearer £35m. It's time to finally put the Norwich reputation for underselling to bed!
