Good day out today . . .

Easy to get to, 4 miles from motorway to cricket club, park car (£5). Food and couple of pints there, watch the early match on the tele before 10 minute walk to ground.
Very impressive stadium from the outside. Lots of food and drink outlets outside, all painted in smart black and white. Live band to entertain. Very smart, new looking areas for the home fans. BUT crappy, narrow, scruffy un-modernised area for away fans, not even TVs to watch. Have to go down two flights of stairs to get to the toilets. I am sure they will get round to modernising that area soon.
The match: back to 5 at the back. Played well in the first half, should have gone in at least one goal in front. Murphy had shot cleared off the line and Olivera missed a one-on-one with their keeper. Second half we were second best but still looked dangerous on the break. Gunn only had to field pretty tame shots until the last minute when he made a great save. Still don't know if he will ever make a keeper as long as I have a . . .etc. Nice 12 pass move to our goal well taken by Madders.
We seem to have gone from a team dominating possession at the beginning of the season to now having 5 at the back, soak up pressure and hit on the break. Nice to have variety I s'pose.
But Brizzle, all in all, one of the better days out.
