Asked this question before and never really got an

answer. If a club have a player(Naismith) who is not in the reckoning, why would they not just give him a free transfer?
Assuming we paid 7-8 million for Naismith and are paying him 40,000 a week and there is a club out there willing to assume 20,000 of that a week, why not do it? If you're not gonna play the player isn't that saving the club 20,000
a week in wages? I understand youre accepting that you made a 7-8 million dollar mistake but isn't the wage savings
at this point more important. Lots of questions I know.
Would think David Moyes wouldn't be reluctant to pay Naismith that.
