Should also consider, however, that if we sell Pritchard now then we almost certainly will

have neither at the start of next season.

If we sell Maddison now, in the January craziness during a season we can pretty much already write off promotion-wise, rather than wait for him to get unsettled and lower offers to come in over the summer when we are building a team around him, that might hurt us less. I think we have more chance of holding on to Pritchard for two or three years than we do of keeping Maddison for one (unless he breaks a leg or something).
