evidences everything that's so depressing about this debate - tory person in some way associated with some suggestion of reform - Labour person immediately leaps up and says "But this is a very serious concern" (vote Labour now, and save our NHS!) - Tory person immediately panics and says "But we are the party of the NHS!" (Vote for us!)

Net result, frig all constructive thought ....
