I've had two Border Collies.

They're great dogs, the only thing I would advise is exercise, they need lots of it. I don't just mean twenty minutes down the park, I mean a good hour and half. Ideally if you are fortunate enough to live somewhere that it's safe to let them off the lead then they'll run for miles.
