I've had dogs since I was a kid and am always learning new things that are harmful to them

Garlic was a new one on me. They have serious trouble digesting pork and chocolate for example. Strange beasts. Normally they seem to know what not to eat from natural sources, but as soon as we process it (e.g. sausages) then they are all over it.

Mind you, I had a proper divvy dog who would drink sea water, and then gush out of both ends for the rest of the day while we were trying desperately to rehydrate her. That one wasn't taken to the beach anymore.
