Own us. Which leads us down this as the only path so when we are forced to sell anyone vaguely decent fans are going to be disappointed and query whether all other avenues have really been explored, especially after the Times interview.

Of course if we are going down this path I want it to succeed but I genuinely feel the odds are stacked against us with every season that goes by.

Re the managers it’s all a matter of opinion so we can agree to disagree on that. I feel that better, more proactive decision making at key moments could have made a difference but obviously can’t be proven.
