Got to be realistic - Maddison will move. At present he is too good for us....so....

What we need to try and sort is for him to go to one of the really big clubs who have both big money (bottom lime is we need the money) and as part of the deal he is loaned back for the rest of the season. Last thing we want is for him to go to a mid/low table team who will play him cos he's better than what they already have. He's probably the best young player we have had since Bellamy so we need to do what is best for us and best for him. Hence the loan back idea. Also it should be recognised that Coventry will get a decent percentage of the fee. They knew he was good as well - indeed I think I read somewhere they are supposed to be on a percentage of his transfer fees throughout his career!

Separately a big well done to the scouting network (presumably under SAN) who identified and bought both him and Pritchard. No doubt they are no longer employed by us....
