ok,so in my car I have a Magic Tree air freshener that is hanging on the grab handle

behind the driver's seat. I can hardly smell it now except for when I turn right,i.e. at a roundabout. So my question is,is the air in the cabin trying to still travel straight on instead of turning right with the rest of the car? Hence the smell of the air freshener now travelling straight on and therefore hitting my nose.
