What more do you think they could have done to manage expectations?

I think they were fair as they could be. At the end of the day if they came out and said, “Look guys this season is going to be painful as we navigate the change in circumstances from being relatively financially secure to being in a massive f**king hole.” Imagine the fall out from that?

Already the club are being accused of a lack of ambition and we’re only 4 months in on the biggest undertaking the club has arguably ever had. Looking at what’s been posted the last couple of days, some would have gone full tilt if the club had been any more open, some did even in the summer.

Yes we should be doing better, nobody is going to disagree with that but everyone needs to have a cup of tea, settle the f**k down and have a bit of patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day and we’re only just coming up to lunchtime on day one, metaphorically speaking.
