Just back from the game....Really don't know what I can tell you!

A) Disappointed when I saw the team as I really wanted to see Maddison and Pritchard live from the start and also because I realised before kickoff it wasn't going to be pretty and it wasn't. It was bloody awful....
B) Got to give some credit to Burton who were well organised and closed us down well. What they didn't have was a playmaker of any note. Midfield basically cancelled itself out
C) Our defence looked pretty good. There were always be scares away from home but they were few and far between.
D) On the other hand our attack (Olivera and Watkins sometimes) was non existent though that was probably due to the total lack of midfield creation on our part. Watkins does try but just doesn't seem to have a role. He was good for Barnsley last year and is also a Welsh international so there must be a player in there somewhere - just need to find it
E) Would like to say we improved considerably when Mads and Pritch came on but we didn't....
F) A word for our support who I thought were good. They didn't seem to think Burton could be rolled over (think we lost there last year) and seemed happy with point. And in the end so was I. The last game I went to was Villa away back in Sept and whilst I accept Villa are somewhat better than Burton we did look more solid today. Take it and move on.

Sorry the report isn't more entertaining but frankly the report sums up the game. OTBC
