Thetford dominated much of the play . The goal came midway through the first half from a scramble in the goalmouth after the Fakenham goalie fumbled a cross.

Thetford tried to push for a second goal but where aware that committing too many players could expose them to a counter attack. There wasn't a great deal of clear chances created.

A slender home win was probably a fair result.

One of the referees assistants was a young female, which is nice to see, she did well.
