BWOD you are a brilliant poster who offers this board a lot

Don’t worry what others think, I love your positivity.

To try and answer your questions.

Last season AN played a very attacking style of football, allowing his players to attack in numbers. This worked well at FCR and we scored plenty of goals. Unfortunately AN played this style away from Home as well leaving our defenders exposed. It was our away form that ultimately cost AN his job. AN had better players last season than we currently have but I still think we are better than our recent performances.

Farke plays a completely different style, a possession based game which is slower and methodical. IMO we take to long to attack when we win the ball back. This gives the opposition to get back into their defensive shape. This means when we attack we have to get past 9 or 10 players. Last night we continuously tried the perfect through ball rather than use the width of the pitch. Our only chances last night came from crosses yet we never play the ball wide. Our work off the ball trying to win the ball back wasn’t good enough also last night and we have both our best ball winners sitting on the bench.

To sum up, we are too obvious for the opposition to play against and our midfielders aren’t strong enough. Add that to the fact some of our players don’t seem to want to play here and it’s a mess.

I hope this makes sense.
