Investors in the sense of the word used by you, don’t buy football clubs

They buy things that are good investments.

A football club is a money pit. There are far too many variables to provide an investor with the type or risk / return ratio that would be acceptable.

Football clubs are not an investment in the ordinary sense of the word.
