When they didn't have the ball they squeezed the life out of teams, high line, narrow, press from the front and Harry the he'll out of every opposition player, pretty much touch tight to the player who had the ball. When they got It they attacked as a unit ndidn't get spread out over 65 yards, remember That "false 9 " expression came from them as the striker was more a number 10 type and often came deep to help with the build up,they practically NEVER crossed it either. I know the personnel are piled apart but we DO have players with quick feet and quick brains who should be able to do that,or something close to it but we don't get close. One paced, spread out;no sudden injection of pace.
