In the Man City game tonight however, Kyle Walker dived but the ref saw it and booked him - unless it his 5th/10th/15th booking then no ban therefore.
The aim in both instances, as the law puts it, was to successfully deceive the match official and one would expect therefore the punishment would be the same - it seems however that players will receive a more severe punishment due to the referee's 'incompetence'?
