I understand he likes players with workrate

and effort. There is a great deal of that in football and its what fans like generally

I do think its a better thing to accept that a player not seeming to put 100% might be able to change the game with 1 piece of magic

Ashton is one of those player, not blessed with pace, or workrate, but plant a decent ball to him, and you have a goal

Its just a bit too simple to like hard working players

Its his preference though, and I understand it, though it no way reflects the real qualities of footballers
