Yes that's definitely been true of other work in the dim and distant past...

...in this case the chap has some big problems at home underpinned by the fact he's got a major drink problem (we didn't know when we took him on)..

We sympathise and feel sorry for him but ultimately his issues were really affecting me and the Mrs so I read him the riot act a couple of weekends ago. Didn't feel great but had to be done. He seems to be more focused now and things have moved along far quicker in the last two weeks than the previous 12...

Fingers crossed he can maintain the good work for another week or so and that should be it...
