RE "Company awards"............. ... tend to go to companies who....
pay a lot of money to book tables at the award ceremonies...
For example, pay 5k to book a table for 5 people and you get a trophy that cost £10 quid. It is a scam but the companies who pay to win awards can get some good PR from it.
